The HouseCalls Audio Tour ServiceTM has been developed by - and is now hosted and supported by - Invores Systems, Inc. Founded in 2002, Invores is based in the waterfront village of Oyster Bay, NY, about 30 miles from New York City.
HouseCalls is hosted on Invores' state of the art EXpress2.0TM VoiceXML Software Platform combining industry standard hardware and software components, and both touch tone detection and speech recognition, with VoIP telephone network access. To maximize reliability, the platform configuration is fully redundant.
Two of our people, Debra Altschuler and Dan Evans, provide the driving force for the creation, the growth, and the ongoing support of the HouseCalls Audio Tour Service. Debra - who also has been (and still is) a successful REALTOR - studied the marketplace needs and defined the necessary features, and Dan designed and developed the software for HouseCalls. Their prior experience, their track record of success, and their enthusiastic hands-on involvement, provides a solid foundation for success of the HouseCalls service.

Debra Altschuler has been Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Invores since 2002. Previously, she spent 12 years at Periphonics Corporation, a leading worldwide supplier of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems, which was acquired by Nortel Networks in 1999. At Periphonics, Debra began as a Marketing Coordinator, responsible for direct mail, advertising, and telemarketing projects to generate sales leads. Then she transferred to direct sales, very successfully taking personal responsibility for growth in sales to several of Periphonics' largest customers - she was named "Sales Rep of the Month" 15 times, and earned the Outstanding Sales Performance Presidents Club Trip six out of seven years.
Debra was promoted to Regional Sales Director - recruiting, training, and managing more than 20 sales people, based throughout the northeastern USA and eastern Canada; and again, Debra and her team succeeded. She was awarded Nortel Networks' Master Achiever, an honor earned by less than 5% of their entire sales force. Prior to Periphonics, Debra spent 5 years with McGraw-Hill, School Division, in NYC, first marketing, and then in sales; she successfully sold K-12 textbooks in an inner-city territory that had been without a rep for over 18 months.

Dan Evans has been Vice President, Product Development at Invores since 2003. Previously, he spent 11 years at Periphonics Corporation (acquired by Nortel Networks in 1999), mostly as Executive Director of Software Development, managing a staff of more than 30 software developers, at the same time that he was personally developing software. Nortel filed two patent applications as a result of Dan's work. He was Nortel's representative to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), participated in the Voice Browser Working Group, which developed VoiceXML 2.0, and the Call Control sub-group, which concentrated on CCXML.
Prior to Periphonics, Dan spent 6 years with Prisym, Inc. a software consulting and development company, as a founder and a partner. Previously, Dan spent 14 years with various divisions and subsidiaries of Citicorp, where he rose to the rank of VP, Director of Technical Research and Development. His formal education includes a BS in Mathematics and MS in Computer Science, with many doctoral track Computer Science courses taken during the last few years.
Both Debra and Dan take a lot of satisfaction from each of the "Success Stories" told by subscribers to HouseCalls.
